據 BBC 昨日（2 月 17 日）報導，肯特郡（Kent）議會的 7 名前英國改革黨 （Reform UK）的議員宣佈集體加入新成立的政黨 Restore Britain，並將於當地議會內組織自己的團隊。
被視為英國政壇右翼新興勢力的 Restore Britain 由諾福郡（Norfolk）市鎮 Great Yarmouth 的現任獨立國會議員 Rupert Lowe 於上星期成立。據悉，Lowe 於去年三月被改革黨停職，其原因是他被指控威脅要對當時的黨魁 Zia Yusuf 進行人身攻擊。其後，Lowe 以獨立議員身份創立 Restore Britain，希望該黨成為右翼勢力的新平台。
加入 Restore Britain 的 7 名議員分別為 Maxine Fothergill、Robert Ford、Paul Thomas、Dean Burns、Isabella Kemp、Brian Black 及 Oliver Bradshaw，其中六人早於去年已被改革黨開除。對於前成員加入新黨，Reform UK 的一位消息人士表示「歡迎 Restore 接收我們的殘渣」（”Restore are welcome to our dregs”），「如果這就是 Restore 對議員的要求標準，那門檻可說非常低」（”If this is Restore’s bar for councillors then it must be very low indeed”）。
